Right at Home...

I don't think Tremonton is quite as "country" as Budds Creek, Maryland, but I couldn't help but feel at home at the local demolition derby! Hope, Wayne, Clint and I headed out to the east coast country for a smashing good time (pun intended-hah!) I don't know what it is about cars and trucks ramming into each other, but you can't help but have a good time.

We started our adventure off right, with a stop at Chick-Fil-A.

Notice the shirt...this is my official country adventure shirt. I wear it to the rodeo, demolition derbies and other certified country events (aka white trash bashes to you city folk).

It was hot and humid (we had a lil heatwave) but totally worth it! The five rounds (including small car, mid-size car, and trucks) were definitely not enough smashin' for me!

The four of us chose a different car each round, and I think we all won at least once...way to go us! In all honesty, Hope had quite a knack for picking winners, including the "lil engine that could"-a teeny car that totally trashed all the larger cars. Good choices people!

The sights (hairy backs, beer bellies, wife beaters, and happy happy people), sounds (engines and y'alls) and smells (cigarette smoke and sweat) of the country are just magical! Thanks Wayne for the music, Hope for your awesome eye at spotting good cars and good people, and Clint for singin Keith and Carrie with me the whole way there and back!

I don't know about it being more country than Tremonton, I think you have been away for too long, Kami! :)
